Stony Brook, N.Y. - Senior Gulce Nazli Dikecligil (Istanbul, Turkey) was honored during halftime of the Stony Brook University's women's basketball game on Saturday for having led the NCAA Division I in aces per set. Dikecligil was presented with a plaque from the NCAA recognizing the national statistical title by Senior Associate Director of Athetics/SWA Donna Woodruff and her coaches Deborah Matejka-DesLauriers and Kevin Deslauriers.

Dikecligil's average of 0.66 aces per set was more than any other player in Division I and her total of 71 aces on the season ranks fourth all-time in Stony Brook single season history. A two-time All-America East selection, Dikecligil finished her career ranked fifth all-time in career aces and eighth in career kills.
