Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's tennis team won its 10th straight match with a 4-0 victory over Fairfield Monday at University Courts.

Stony Brook dominated Fairfield in singles play. In three completed flights, the Stags only won three games. Freshman Nadia Smergut (New York, N.Y.) won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 over Carolina Koladzyn. Senior Lisa Setyon also won 6-1, 6-0, defeating Karen McKeough at No. 6 singles.

Junior Cassandra Dix (Northamptonshire, U.K.) beat Kaila Nelson at No. 4 singles.

Dix and junior Polina Movchan (Kiev, Ukraine) captured an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles. Smergut and sophomore Becky Shtilkind (Brooklyn, N.Y.) dominated with an 8-1 win at No. 3.

The Seawolves (13-3) will head to Columbia, Md. for the America East Championship hosted by UMBC this weekend.
