Women's tennis beats Bryant, falls to Brown

Smithfield, R.I. - The Stony Brook women's tennis team bounced back from a loss at Brown to blank Bryant last weekend. Freshman Jackie Altansarnai (Hinsdale, Ill.) had a solid weekend, beating Brown's Sarah Kandath at No. 3 singles before winning at No. 2 singles against Bryant. Altansarnai rallied for her win at No. 3 singles, winning 7-5 in a second-set tiebreaker and 6-4 in the deciding set. She was dominant at No. 2 singles against the Bulldogs, 6-2, 6-1. Senior Chloe Pike (Bristol, England) also came from behind in a singles match, dropping the first set before taking the second and third set, 7-5.
