Stony Brook, N.Y. - Senior Rebecca Sayles (Calgary, Alberta) of the Stony Brook women's swimming & diving team has been named to the 2010 District I CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Women's Academic At-Large Second Team, it was recently announced.

Sayles is part of four school records (400 medley relay, 200 free relay, 400 relay and 800 free relay). She also has recorded seven top-10 finishes in four years at the America East Championships. A 2009 America East All-Academic selection, she is a member of the Business Leaders Program and the Golden Key Honor Society.

She has been selected to the Society of Distinguished Scholar Athletes and Dean's List each semester to date. She was honored as the graduating senior with the highest GPA in the College of Buiness and as a result, participated in hooding her fellow graduates at the graduation ceremony.
