Vestal, N.Y. - Stony Brook's swimming and diving teams were swept by Binghamton on Saturday afternoon. The men's team fell, 162-113, and the women's team lost, 199-101. Sophomore Sean Conway (Oakdale, N.Y.) had three first-place finishes for the men's team. Freshman Julie Policht (Toronto, Ontario) recorded a pair of second-place times for the women's team and sophomore Darcy Heuser (Centerville, Ohio) recorded the women's team's lone invididual win.

Conway won the 50 (22.00) and 100 free (47.86) and was part of the first-place 400-yard freestyle relay. Conway also swam to a second-place finish in the 200 free (1:45.34). Freshman Ivan Kopas (Kikinda, Serbia) recorded Stony Brook's other individual win, finishing first in the 200-yard backstroke (1:50.55)

Policht took second in the 1000 free (10:58.29) and 200 fly (2:11.05). Heuser won the 500 free with a time of 5:15.66.

Sophomore Shanna Murphy (Chester, N.Y.) finished second in the 1 and 3-meter dive.

Both teams conclude the 2009-10 season at the America East Championships hosted by Boston University on February 25-28.
