Softball unveils 2012 schedule


The Stony Brook softball program and head coach Megan Bryant announced the 2012 schedule on Wednesday. The Seawolves will face opponents from several power conferences including the Big 12, Big East and Pac-12 in addition to an 18-game America East slate.

Softball to host Winter Pitching Clinic


The Stony Brook softball program will host a Winter Pitching Clinic on Sunday, Jan. 15 led by assistant/pitching coach Jamee Juarez. The clinic will focus on the fundamentals and mechanics of pitching and is open to all players ages 9-17.

Softball inks five to NLI's


The Stony Brook softball team and head coach Megan Bryant have signed five student-athletes to National Letters of Intent, as announced Tuesday. Patty Borges, Melissa Phelan, Allie Pisciotta, Jane Sallen and Kat Zabielski will join the Seawolves in the fall of 2012.

Three Seawolves named NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes


Three Stony Brook softball players were named NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes, the association announced Thursday. Alexandra Clark, Lauren Maloney and Colleen Matthes earned the honor by posting GPA's over 3.50 for the 2010-11 academic year.
