Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook softball program and head coach Megan Bryant announced the team's 2013 fall ball schedule on Tuesday. The Seawolves will compete in three tournaments and are scheduled to play eight games, before wrapping up the fall with the annual alumnae game on Oct. 5.

The defending America East champions will open the fall season vs. St. Peter's and the host Red Storm at the St. John's Tournament on Sept. 22. Stony Brook will face St. Peter's at 10 a.m. and St. John's at noon.

The Seawolves will then return home the following weekend for two Stony Brook Fall Ball Tournaments on Sept. 28-29. Saturday's tournament features matchups against local opponents Adelphi (10:30 a.m.) and Manhattan (2:30 p.m.), while the Sunday slate includes contests against LIU Post (10:30 a.m.) and Sacred Heart (2:30 p.m.).

Stony Brook will then face LIU Post again on Oct. 4 for a doubleheader starting at 3:30 p.m. in Brookville, N.Y.

The fall season will conclude on Oct. 5 with the annual alumnae game, scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Stony Brook Softball Field. The event will be a part of Homecoming Weekend at Stony Brook, which also includes Wolfstock 2013 festivities and the Stony Brook football game against Bryant at 6 p.m.

The Seawolves won 35 games in 2013 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history.
