Stony Brook, N.Y. - Vicki Kavitsky `10 (Cherry Hill, N.J.), of the Stony Brook University softball team, has been named a 2010 Division I first team All-American by the Jewish Sports Review, the organization recently announced. It is the third straight season that Kavitsky has earned the honor.

A 2010 All-America East first team selection, Kavitsky led the team in batting average (.341), runs scored (38), doubles (13), home runs (five) and RBI (23). On April 24 against Albany she became only the fifth player in school history to reach 200 hits.

Kavitsky is the school's all-time leader in steals and runs scored and helped the Seawolves to the 2010 America East Championship game.
