Preview: Stony Brook and Hartford will open a three-game series Saturday at University Field.  The Seawolves have won four of their first five America East games and are tied with Maine for first place.

Opponent: Senior Genevieve Morneau-Vaillancourt leads the team with a .333 batting average in 11 games.  Sophomore Sawyer Fried is hitting .294 with two HRs and 10 RBIs.  Senior Chelsey Mooney also has 10 RBIs.  Senior Zuzana Kudernatschova and freshman Lexi Wilkerson each have started seven games in the circle.  Kudernatschova has a 3.80 ERA in 42 1/3 innings and Wilkerson has posted a 4.58 ERA in 36 2/3 innings.  Wilkerson leads the Hawks with three wins.

Series: Stony Brook and Hartford have met 38 times, with the Seawolves winning 24.  The Hawks won two of three in the regular season, including a pair of one-run games.  Stony Brook responded by knocking Hartford out of the America East Championship with a 6-3 win.  Junior Shayla Giosia hit a two-run homer as Stony Brook opened up a 6-1 lead in the fourth.

Up Next: Stony Brook will head to Manhattan for a doubleheader against Columbia on Tuesday, April 8. Game one is scheduled for 3 p.m.
