Preview: The Stony Brook softball team will begin a five-game road swing Wednesday at Iona.  After starting the season 0-5, the Seawolves have won 10 out of their last 16 games.  A win over the Gaels would get Stony Brook to .500 for the first time this season.

Opponent: Iona has a .271 batting average through 13 games this season.  Eileen McCann, Iona's career leader in home runs, is hitting .395 with a HR and five RBIs.  Kristen Turner has hit six HRs and has 17 RBIs.  The Gaels have struggled in the circle, owning a 5.63 ERA.  Carly Argyle and Jordan Courage each have started seven games.  Argyle is 3-5 with a 4.87 ERA and Courage is 0-6 with a 7.13 ERA.  Argyle has recorded three of Iona's four wins.

Series: Since 2001, Stony Brook owns a 12-9 advantage over Iona.  The Seawolves and Gaels have played every season since 2007, and Stony Brook is 7-3 in that span.

Up Next: Stony Brook will head to Baltimore for a three-game weekend series against UMBC.  Game one of Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 1 p.m.
