Tournament play at the Georgia Tech-Kennesaw State Invite came to an end for the Stony Brook softball team as the Seawolves (0-5) fell to the Yellow Jackets, 8-4.

Juniors Bria Green (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) and Lauren Kamachi (Surrey, British Columbia) each had a hit and two RBIs.

Georgia Tech's Alysha Rudnik broke the game open in the bottom of the sixth with a three-run homer to make it 8-4.

Stony Brook tied the game at four in the fifth after a clutch two-RBI double from Green that scored seniors Jessica Combs (Hammonton, N.J.) and Olivia Mintun (Neoga, Ill.).

The Seawolves took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. With runners on second and third and two out, Kamachi singled through the right side.

Sophomore Jane Sallen (Lake Worth, Fla.) allowed only one hit through three innings.

Combs and sophomore Alexandra Pisciotta (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) had two hits apiece.

• Junior Allison Cukrov (Irvine, Calif.) took the loss for Stony Brook.
• Sophomore Melissa Phelan (Saddle Brook, N.J.) recorded a pinch-hit single.

Stony Brook will travel to North Carolina to complete in the 49er Invite. The Seawolves open the tournament with Charlotte and Georgetown on Friday, February 28.
