Women's soccer holds annual year-end banquet


The Stony Brook women's soccer team held its annual year-end banquet on Saturday, handing out individual awards and honoring its seniors, friends and family.

Ryan receives NSCAA Award of Excellence


Head coach Sue Ryan of the Stony Brook women's soccer team was named the 2011 recipient of the NSCAA Women's Committee Award of Excellence, as announced Thursday. The award recognizes those who have brought honor and distinction to women's soccer.

Kershaw, Bosnyak take home AE postseason honors


Junior Sa'sha Kershaw (Baltimore, Md.) and freshman Regan Bosnyak (Newington, Conn.) of the Stony Brook women's soccer team were honored on Wednesday as the America East revealed its postseason awards. Kershaw was named second-team All-Conference, while Bosnyak garnered All-Rookie consideration.

Women's soccer falls short against Albany


The Stony Brook women's soccer season came to a close on Sunday as the visiting Albany Great Danes dealt the Seawolves a 2-1 setback on senior day. Stony Brook nearly rallied from a two-goal deficit, but senior Dana Adamkiewicz's shot to tie the game glanced off the post with three minutes remaining.

Women's soccer wraps up regular season vs. Albany


The Stony Brook women's soccer team will look to clinch an America East playoff bid on Sunday when they host Albany in the regular season finale at 2 p.m. Prior to the match, the Seawolves will honor the four seniors that will be playing in their final home game.
