Stony Brook, N.Y. - SEAWOLVES GET BACK ON THE RIGHT TRACK, GO 2-0 THIS WEEK The Seawolves put together back-to-back wins for the first time since the second week of the season in registering wins over Lehigh and Albany. On Wednesday afternoon, Stony Brook won in dramatic fashion as Kerri McCabe scored the only goal of the game 1:26 in the first overtime period to snap a two-game losing streak. The Seawolves came right back on Saturday and earned a convincing 6-0 win over Albany. Six different players tallied for Stony Brook. McCabe again led the way with a goal and an assist. Krisha Zagura totaled two assists on the afternoon.

TIME OFF The quirky independent schedule has the Seawolves idle for the next ten days. They are schedule to return to action on Wedneday, October 11 versus Quinnipiac. There is chance that game could be moved back to Tuesday.

LEAVE IT TO GREENIE Freshman Sarah Greenberg continues her impressive first season at Stony Brook. On Wednesday, she assisted on McCabe's game-winner, tying her for the team lead in assists with five. She came right back on Saturday to notch her second goal of the season against Albany.

WELCOME BACK BAKER Sophomore Kristin Baker returned to action this week for the first time since the end of last season. Baker had been dealing with a nagging foot injury that caused her to miss all of last spring and the the first 11 games of this year. She made her return against Lehigh on Wednesday, playing sparingly in the 1-0 win. On Saturday, she scored her first collegiate goal against the Lady Danes in the second half of Stony Brook's win.

FULL NELSON Sophomore netminder Lori Nelson made her return to the starting lineup this week a smashing success. Out with a hip injury for most of the season, Nelson made her first start of the year against Lehigh. In that game, she made several outstanding saves, including a diving stop of a penalty kick in the 67th minute of her shutout win. She finished out the week with another shutout versus Albany. She now has five career shutouts.

FROM THE COACH "I am thrilled with how the players have worked through adversity to put us in a position to win games," Ryan said. "We have a little streak going and we hope to keep it going."

NEWS AND NOTES * Jen Fontanetta scored on Saturday. She has a career-high five goals on the year * Zagura left the game on Saturday with a knee injury. She will be evaluated this week * McCabe leads the team in scoring with eight goals and four assists * The Seawolves have scored six goals in a game three times this year (Canisius, Belmont, Albany) * Lauren Canino made her second start at forward on Saturday
