#Seawolves climb back into NSCAA Northeast Region top 10

Kansas City, Kan. - The Stony Brook women's soccer team (6-3-1) has climbed back into the NSCAA Northeast Region Poll, as announced Tuesday. The Seawolves enter this week's ranking at No. 10 and are the only America East institution in the poll.
Georgetown tops the latest poll, followed by UConn, Marquette, Louisville and Rutgers in spots two through five, respectively. St. John's is sixth, Monmouth is seventh, South Florida is eighth and DePaul is ninth.
Stony Brook defeated Vermont on Sunday by a 2-1 score to climb back into the rankings. The Seawolves were previously ranked as high as No. 9 on Sept. 3, and have been ranked in the poll for four weeks of the 2013 season.
Stony Brook has also been climbing in the NCAA Division I RPI ranks, entering the week at No. 79 in the nation. The Seawolves are the highest ranked America East institution; Binghamton is a distant second at No. 164.
The defending America East champions are back in action Sunday against UMass Lowell. Kickoff from LaValle Stadium is set for 2 p.m.
