Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook women's soccer assistant coach Eric Teepe recently returned from a pair of successful trips with Olympic Development Programs (ODP). Teepe led the US U-15 Youth Soccer Region I team on a training trip to Germany and helped guide the Eastern New York squad to a national championship appearance in Texas.

The head coach of the U.S. U-15 Region I team, Teepe guided the squad to a 2-0-1 record against top German Bundesliga Academy teams, earning wins over TSG Hoffenheim and FC Saarbrucken and a draw against 1.FFC Frankfurt. The American team, composed of U15 and U16 players from the Northeast region, did not concede a goal during the three-game span.

While staying at the Saarbrucken Olympic Training Center with ProSoc Academy, the U.S. team also attended training sessions with Bundesliga 3 outfit FC Saarbrucken and Bundesliga 2 team FC Kaiserslautern, and took in a top-flight match between Mainz and VfL Wolfsburg.

Upon returning from Germany, Teepe traveled to Texas with the ENY South ODP team and helped coach the squad to its first-ever national championship appearance. The New York team edged North Texas, 2-1, in overtime in the semifinals, before falling to California South in the title game by a 1-0 score.
