Team celebrates successful 2013 season; Nysch named Team MVP
Stony Brook student-athletes continue to make their mark in the classroom.
2013: Named to the America East All-Rookie Team...appeared in 18 games and made eight starts...scored four goals and recorded nine points...scored her first collegiate goal in a 3-1 home win over Siena on Sept. 8...named the America East Rookie of the Week on Sept. 9...assisted on Queli Ornelas' goal at Hartford on Oct. 10...scored two goals in a 3-1 win over New Hampshire on Oct. 24...scored in the America East Semifinals against Maine on Nov. 3.
High School: Four-year letterwinner at Fort Hill High School for head coach Shera Rowan...named first-team All-City, All-County and All-League all four years...named first-team All-State and Player of the Year in 2011 and '12...scored 91 goals and added 26 assists in her career...also ran hurdles in track...member of the National Honor Society...played club soccer for FC Frederick and head coach Brad Roos...participated in the Olympic Development Program at the state (West Virginia) and regional (Region I) levels.
