Yeung Chung was named assistant women's soccer coach at Stony Brook University in January of 2006. Chung returns to his alma mater in his second stint as a Seawolves assistant coach.

Chung is no stranger to Stony Brook as he has been very involved in not only the university but in the community as well. From 1999-2001, he was an assistant coach for the Stony Brook men's soccer team. Under his direction, the squad was ranked as high as 23rd in Division I. In the community, he currently serves as the Director of Coaches and Players for the Stony Brook Soccer Club, where he is responsible for running and organizing the youth programs and the hiring of coaches.

He is a staff member for Olympic Development (Region I), an Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association Olympic Development Program Evaluator, as well as a Vogelsinger Soccer Academy and Northport Cow Harbor Soccer Club trainer. Chung is certified with a NSCAA National License and is also the assistant director of Stony Brook Soccer Camps. From 2001-2003, Chung guided the Riverhead High School men's varsity team as well as the programs at the junior high junior varsity level.

Recognized as a Distinguished Educator by "Who's Who of America's Teachers" in 2004, Chung is currently pursuing a master's degree in elementary education from Dowling College. A 1999 graduate of Stony Brook, he received his undergraduate degree in Social Science Interdisciplinary while playing on the men's soccer team from 1994-98.
