Stony Brook, N.Y. - Beginning tonight, Nov. 9, Stony Brook Athletics will be running a food drive this month at all of its men's & women's basketball games to aid the relief efforts from Hurricane Sandy.

Fans coming to the game are encouraged to bring dry, canned and other non-perishable foods to Pritchard Gymnasium to donate to the relief effort. Collections will take place at the marketing table in the lobby. All food collected will be donated to the Red Cross.

Collections will take place Nov. 9, Nov. 11, Nov. 18 and Nov. 24.

Fans who donate food to the cause will receive a free ticket to a women's basketball game of their choice during the month of January.
