Women's hoops game against UNH moved to 6 p.m.
March 4, 2013
Cambridge, Mass. - The Stony Brook women's basketball team will play New Hampshire at 6 p.m. Friday, March 8 in the America East Quarterfinals. The game was originally scheduled for 8 p.m. but was moved as Maine has decided not to participate in the America East Championship in the aftermath of a Feb. 26 bus accident on Interstate 95 near Georgetown, Mass. in which the bus driver was injured and a Maine player sustained a broken hand. The game will be streamed live on ESPN3.com. Albany, the tournament's top-seed that was slated to play No. 8 Maine, will receive a first-round bye into a semifinal matchup Sunday at 1 p.m. The winner of the game between No. 4 Stony Brook and No. 5 New Hampshire will face the Great Danes in the semifinals.
