About the Game: Stony Brook tries to return to the win column on Saturday, traveling to face the Albany Great Danes. It will be the 45th all-time meeting between the SUNY rivals. 

Meet the Seawolves: Senior Whitney Davis (Muskegon, Mich.) tallied her first career double-double on Wednesday at Binghamton. Junior Sam Landers led the Seawolves with 13 points after scoring 12 last Saturday against Vermont. 

Scouting Albany: The Great Danes enter Saturday’s game in second place in the America East standings following a 65-63 win at UMBC on Wednesday. Albany trails first-place BU by a game and a half but has a three-game lead on a group of four teams tied for third place. The Great Danes lead the America East in scoring defense (47.1 points per game) and rebounding margin (+6.2) during conference play and her second in field goal percentage defense (.349). Ebone Henry is in the top-10 in the America East in scoring (12.1 PPG) and rebounding (7.5 RPG) during conference play and had 20 points and six rebounds against the Seawolves earlier this season. Albany is 6-0 on the road in conference play but 2-2 at home. 

Last time out: Junior Sam Landers (Springfield, Va.) tied a season-high with 13 points and senior Whitney Davis (Muskegon, Mich.) registered a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds) but the Stony Brook University women’s basketball fell to the Binghamton Bearcats, 55-46, on Wednesday night at the Events Center. Landers went 3-for-4 from three while Davis recorded her first double-double and set a career-high with 10 rebounds. Freshman Kellie Krueger (Wilsonville, Ore.) chipped in with 10 points for SBU, which shot 41 percent.
