Dan Rickard Position: Director of Basketball Operations Experience: First Season Alma Mater: Stony Brook '04

Dan Rickard serves as a graduate assistant with the Stony Brook women's basketball program. An assistant coach for the Stony Brook men's team in 2004-05, he will serve as the Director of Basketball Operations for both the men's and women's basketball programs this year. In his new role, Rickard will handle all day-to-day activities surrounding the basketball program.

Rickard graduated from SB in May of 2004 after two years as a member of the men's basketball team. The 6-3 guard appeared in 14 games in two seasons and helped the Seawolves reach the America East semifinals in 2004.

After graduation, he went from wearing a uniform to wearing a suit on the bench, taking over as an assistant coach under former men's coach Nick Macarcuk. His responsibilities included game day and practice duties, along with recruiting responsibilities.
