Named an assistant coach on June 1, 2011, Cori Chambers played collegiately at Georgia before playing professionally for the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA and was most recently the Director of Basketball Operations at Marist College for two seasons. In her two years at Marist, the Red Foxes went 57-11 and advanced to the NCAA tournament each season. In 2010-11, Marist went 31-3 and was ranked No. 21 in the final ESPN/USA Today coaches poll. Chambers played at Georgia from 2003-07 and played professionally for the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA. She is Georgia's all-time leader in three-pointers made in a career with 282, making a Lady Bulldogs' record 85 threes in the 2006-07 season. She also played in a Georgia record 106 games in her four years in Athens, Ga. Chambers scored 1,490 points in her collegiate career, averaging 11 points per game. Georgia reached the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament in each of Chambers' four seasons there, and got as far as the Elite 8 in 2004. A Southeastern Conference All-Freshman team selection in 2004, Chambers was a second-team All-SEC pick as a junior and as a senior. After her career at Georgia, Chambers was drafted in the second round of the 2007 WNBA draft by the Connecticut Sun. She played one season with the Sun before playing overseas for Shelen ETK Basket Club in Russia and S-dent Sierre Basket Club in Switzerland. Chambers is 2007 graduate of Georgia, earning a Bachelor's degree in business administration and management from the Terry School of Business.
