Former Stony Brook women's basketball player Jessie Boylan returns to her alma mater as an assistant coach.
A four-year letter winner for the Seawolves and two-time team captain, Boylan helped guide Stony Brook to its first post-season appearance in 2006. "I am thrilled to welcome Jessie Boylan back to Stony Brook and to have her join our coaching staff," said Cherry. "As a former Stony Brook player and team captain, she has an understanding of our program and of the high expectations we have set. Furthermore, as a coach's kid, she brings knowledge of the game far beyond her years. She will prove to be a valuable asset to both our players and our staff."
Boylan, whose father Jim is currently an assistant coach with the Chicago Bulls of the NBA, began her coaching duties in August of 2007.
