Men's Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Team Award - Fassi-Fehri, Rummel and Shvartz Earn Individual Honors

Stony Brook University's men's tennis squad earned a prestigious academic honor when the Intercollegiate Tennis Association named the Seawolves as a 2008 ITA All-Academic Team. Stony Brook is one of just 41 teams in the nation in Division I that earned the award, which goes to a team that posts a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 and above. The only America East Conference team to win the award for 2008, it is the third consecutive year that the Seawolves have won the honor. [+]

05/08/2008 Four Stony Brook Tennis Players Earn America East All-Academic Honors A total of four Stony Brook University student-athletes from its men's and women's tennis teams were honored by the America East Conference today when the league announced its All-Academic teams for tennis. Two men and two women were named to the teams which are selected based on the student-athlete's academic and athletic accomplishments. [+]

05/01/2008 Baradach Named Player/Rookie of the Year by America East Freshman Artem Baradach (Minsk, Belarus) swept the top America East men's tennis awards today when the league announced its yearly award winners. Baradach was named both the Player of the Year and the Rookie of the Year after an outstanding year for the Seawolves. Three other Stony Brook players joined Baradach with all-conference honors for Stony Brook. [+]
