Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook University's men's tennis team opened its fall season over the weekend, hosting the 3rd annual Stony Brook Invitational. Juniors Roope Kailaheimo (Helsinki, Finland) and Robert Forai (Novi Sad, Serbia) won the Flight A doubles draw.

Kailaheimo and Forai won three matches on their way to the title, winning 8-6 in the final. In addition, sophomore Ryan Schmitz (Schenectady, N.Y.) did not drop a set on his way to the Flight C singles title.

Freshman Stefan Ilic (Forest Hills, N.Y.) won the Flight D singles championship and senior Mehmet Duru (Istanbul, Turkey) advanced to the final in the Flight B singles draw.
