RESULTS

Hanover, N.H. - Sophomore Mons Knudzton (Oslo, Norway) finished third at No. 1 singles to lead the Stony Brook men's tennis team at the Dartmouth Shootout last weekend.

Knudzton defeated Alexander Schidlovsky of Williams College, 7-6, 6-1, before falling in the quarterfinals.

Freshman Vinicius Degani (Sao Paulo, Brazil) beat Army's Jang Milsten, 6-2, 6-2, before losing in the consolation finals.

The No. 1 doubles draw of freshmen Rick Timmerman (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) and Marcelo Locatelli (Londrina, Brazil) beat the Army duo of Rommel Verano and Austin McCasin, 9-8, in the consolation finals.

The men's and women's teams will compete next week at the ITA Regional Championships. The men will head to Yale, while the women will travel to Army.
