Men's tennis tops Boston University, NJIT

Continuing its strong play over the last few weeks, the Stony Brook men's tennis team captured wins over Boston University and NJIT. Freshman Jose Morales (Bradenton, Fla.) went 2-0 at No. 3 singles and combined with sophomore Mons Knudtzon (Oslo, Norway) for a pair of doubles victories.
Morales won his match over the Terriers, 6-2, 6-2, and defeated the Highlanders' Andres Alban for a three-set victory.
Morales and Knudtzon recorded wins at No. 1 doubles, 8-3 and 8-4.
Freshman Marcelo Locatelli (Londrina, Brazil) also won both of his singles matches as he beat BU's Emilio Teran, 7-6, 6-0 and NJIT's Erik Artursson, 1-6, 6-1, 6-1.
The victories were the third straight for Stony Brook, which faces Quinnipiac on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
