Despite winning three singles matches, the Stony Brook men's tennis team fell to Army, 4-3, Tuesday at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.  The match came down to No. 1 singles and the final set as freshman Rick Timmerman battled, but fell 6-3.

Sophomore Mons Knudtzon (Oslo, Norway) led the Seawolves with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles.  Freshmen Jose Morales (Bradenton, Fla.) and Marcelo Locatelli (Londrina, Brazil) also earned points for Stony Brook, winning at No. 3 and No. 5 singles, respectively.

Timmerman forced a third set after taking the second set 6-4.

Stony Brook will host ASA College on March 27 at 3:30 p.m.
