Men's tennis finishes weekend at Yale 4-Way

New Haven, Conn. - The Stony Brook men's tennis team's 2013 spring season continued with three dual matches at Yale. The Seawolves competed against the likes of Marist, Fairleigh Dickinson and the-host Bulldogs. SBU won at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles, but dropped its match to Marist, 4-1. Sophomore Mons Knudtzon (Oslo, Norway) rallied for a three-set victory, winning 10-5 in the third set. The duo of freshmen Rick Timmerman (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) and Marcelo Locatelli (Londrina, Brazil) were victorious, 8-6. Freshman Jose Morales (Bradenton, Fla.) won the only match for SBU against Fairleigh Dickinson, taking a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles. Stony Brook completed the weekend with a 7-0 loss to No. 49 Yale. The Seawolves will be on the road at Princeton Saturday and at Bryant Sunday.
