Stony Brook, N.Y. - After becoming Stony Brook men's soccer's first-ever All-American last week, senior midfielder Leonardo Fernandes (North Babylon, N.Y.) has picked up two more honors. Over the weekend, he was named to the College Soccer News All-America third team and was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Northeast Region first team.

Last Friday, Fernandes was named to the NSCAA All-America second team.

Fernandes had an outstanding 2012 season that saw him score nine goals and assist on seven others for a total of 25 points. He was also named to the America East Championship All-Tournament team for his outstanding play in helping the Seawolves reach the semifinals for the fourth consecutive season.

He also is third in goals (31) and third in assists (17), and he ranks first in the program's Div. I history in each category. He is a three-time America East Midfielder of the Year and first-team All-America East recipient.
