Men's soccer to host Connecticut in spring exhibition March 30

The defending America East champion Seawolves take on a Huskies squad that finished 2011 ranked No. 5 in the nation.

2011: Started all 20 matches in the defensive backfield...contributed to a defense that held opponents to 1.25 goals per match and posted five shutouts...took five shots on the season, two on goal.

Before SBU: Played two seasons at Lincoln College in Lincoln, Ill...helped the Lynx to a school-record 19 wins and a fifth-place finish at the NJCAA Div. I Championship in 2010...named All-Conference in both of his years at Lincoln.

High School: Attended Weston Road High School and played club soccer for the Stafford Rangers, co-captaining the team for three seasons...was named Manager's Player and Young Player of the Year in 2008.

Personal: Charlie Jones...born March 16, 1991 in Stafford, England...always rubs dirt from the playing field on his hands...majoring in Health Science at Stony Brook.
