Despite a career-high seven goals from freshman Brody Eastwood (Victoria, British Columbia), the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team fell to Albany, 17-15, in the semifinals of the America East Championship.
Senior Jeff Tundo (Orchard Park, N.Y.) and sophomore Bryan Judge (Melville, N.Y.) each were named first team All-America East, the conference announced Wednesday night. Senior JJ Laforet (Georgetown, Ontario) and freshmen Brody Eastwood (Victoria, British Columbia), Chris Hughes (Oceanside, N.Y.) and Challen Rogers (Coquitlam, British Columbia) also were honored.
After closing out the regular season with a loss to its in-state rival Albany, the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team will face the Great Danes in one America East Championship semifinal on Thursday night.
Stony Brook Men's Lacrosse hosted the sixth annual Spring Alumni Game Saturday afternoon prior to Stony Brook's matchup against Albany. Over 40 alumni took part in the annual game and reception. One of the highlights was the unveiling of 15 plaques that were donated as part of phase one of the men's lacrosse locker room project.
