Stony Brook, N.Y. - Junior Jordan McBride (New Westminster, British Columbia), incoming freshman Jak Wawrzyniak (Manchester, England) and former attackman Sean Chamberlain '07 will each be in England next week for the 2010 World Championships. McBride will suit up for Team Scotland, Wawrzyniak will play for his home country and Chamberlain will be an assistant for Team Poland.

McBride, who earned honorable mention All-America after his freshman and sophomore seasons, had 48 goals en route to a third-team selection in 2010. He became the Seawolves' all-time leading goal scorer after scoring a pair of goals against Albany in the America East Championship game. McBride was the first player in school history to score at least 40 goals in three straight seasons.

Wawrzyniak spent the 2009-10 year at Avon Old Farms High School in Connecticut. He was part of a squad that went 15-3 and will be the youngest member on Team England. In 2008 he played in the U19 World Championships in Canada.

Chamberlain totaled 55 goals as a member of the Seawolves from 2004-07, with 12 of his 55 goals coming on man-up situations. Coming out of high school, Chamberlain was an All-American.

McBride, Wawrzyniak and Chamberlain join junior Kevin Crowley (New Westminster, British Columbia), former standout Rhys Duch `08 and SBU head coach Rick Sowell next week in England. Crowley recently was added to Team Canada's roster and will team with Duch, while Sowell is an assistant with Team USA.

Stony Brook finished the 2010 season, 13-4, and advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the first time in school history. The Seawolves won nine straight games en route to a #6 ranking, the highest ever in program history.
