About the Game
The Stony Brook men's lacrosse team will close out the 2013 regular season Saturday night against in-state rival Albany.  The Seawolves have won seven straight over the Great Danes and lead the all-time series, 13-12.  Both squads are coming off one-goal affairs as Stony Brook topped Hartford and Albany fell to Siena, both by 10-9 scores.  Prior to tomorrow night's game, Stony Brook will honor its three seniors - Savaughn Greene, JJ Laforet and Jeff Tundo

Scouting Albany
The Great Danes feature the nation's top offensive attack, led by sophomore Lyle Thompson (38 goals), who leads the country in assists per game (3.92) and points per game (6.85).  His brother, junior Miles Thompson, has 30 goals and 10 assists.  Their cousin, Ty Thompson, has amassed 41 goals and 12 assists.  Albany also starts a freshman in goal in Blaze Riorden.  He has a .510 save percentage and an 11.27 goals against average.  Albany has clinched the top seed in this year's America East Championship.

Last Time Out
Senior JJ Laforet (Georgetown, Ontario) won the overtime draw and went right down the middle for the goal as the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team escaped with a 10-9 win over Hartford on Saturday night at Al-Marzook Field.

"I took it down the gut and just shot it," said Laforet, who took only one face-off tonight.  "All you can do is shoot and hope it goes in.  It's not about aim.  Coach believed in me and I wanted this for our team."

Senior Jeff Tundo (Orchard Park, N.Y.) scored three goals and freshmen Matt Schultz (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Brody Eastwood (Victoria, British Columbia) each tallied two goals for Stony Brook (7-7, 2-2 America East).

Freshman Challen Rogers (Coquitlam, British Columbia) tallied a goal and two assists and sophomore Mike Rooney (East Islip, N.Y.) added a goal and an assist.

It was the fourth overtime game, fourth straight one-goal contest and sixth overall this season.

Kevin O'Shea and Andrew Cacchio each had three goals for Hartford (7-5, 2-2).
