About The Game:  After playing three of its first four games on the road, Stony Brook hosts St. John’s in the first of two home games this week.  The Seawolves have won the previous two contests against the Red Storm, 21-6, in 2010, and, 9-4, last season.  Stony Brook and St. John’s first met in 1986.

Scouting St. John's: St. John’s (2-2) nearly pulled off its biggest upset in program history, losing at home to Syracuse, 9-8.  Terence Leach and Kevin Cernuto had three goals apiece, and Jeff Lowman tied a season-high with 15 saves.  Cernuto leads the Red Storm with eight goals, Harry Kutner has seven, and Leach and McArdle each have six.  Jordan Rothman is 45 of 86 at the ‘X’, with a team-high 20 ground balls.  

Last Time Out: Senior Robbie Campbell tallied two goals and two assists and senior Kyle Belton added two goals to lead the Stony Brook men’s lacrosse team to a 7-6 win over No. 18 Delaware Saturday at Delaware Stadium.  The Seawolves secured their sixth straight win over the Blue Hens, who scored only one goal in the second half.


 

 

Seawolves News and Notes: Robbie Campbell tallied four points in a game for the second time this season (Fairfield and Delaware) ... the last three times Stony Brook opened the season 0-3, it won the next game ... Stony Brook is 7-2 all-time vs. Delaware ... senior Ryan Keneally and junior Sean Brady split time in goal against Delaware, combining to make nine saves ... senior Jared LeVerne and junior JJ Laforet tied career-highs with seven and five ground balls, respectively ... Stony Brook scored a man-up goal for the fourth straight game this season.
