Assistant Coach (2nd year)

Will Imhof begins his second year as an assistant coach at Stony Brook. A former standout player at Stony Brook, Imhof played four seasons with the Seawolves from 1992-96 and was the first scholarship player at the university. He was the team captain during his junior and senior years and earned team MVP honors as a senior.

After graduating from Stony Brook in the spring of 1996, Imhof earned his Secondary Education Teacher Certificate in 1997 and has been substitute teaching during the last year.

In addition to his teaching duties, Imhof has been a child care worker at the Hope for Youth Center where he was responsible for the implementation of a residential treatment program, designed to help develop the independent living skills of adolescent residents of a community based group home. While at the center, he also instructed a six-week, hands-on independent living skills course.

Since graduating from SB, Imhof had also been working on his coaching skills. In 1998, he was the head coach at Stimson Middle School and has been a camp coach at the Stony Brook Lacrosse camp for the last four years. He has been a member of the Suffolk Lacrosse Club since 1997 and played for the New York Metro All Stars in 1998. He is the cousin of Jim Imhof, who finished his Stony Brook lacrosse career last year.
