Priore announces addition of Cincinnati transfer Jameel Poteat

Stony Brook head football coach Chuck Priore has announced the addition of running back Jameel Poteat (Harrisburg, Pa.). Poteat, a transfer from Cincinnati, has two years of eligibility remaining and will join the Seawolves for summer workouts.

Name the Stony Brook-Albany football rivalry game

As preparations begin for the 2013 football season, Stony Brook and Albany, the CAA's newest football members, together will offer fans the opportunity to name the teams' annual rivalry game. Fans' suggestions can be submitted by using the hashtag EmpireClash on Twitter and/or by sending a message to Stony Brook Athletics' fan page or Wolfie Seawolf on Facebook.

Maysonet, Norrell, Moore ink free-agent deals

Three former Stony Brook football standouts agreed to terms with their respective teams on Saturday. Miguel Maysonet signed with Philadelphia, Kevin Norrell inked a deal with Buffalo and Cedrick Moore will head to rookie camp with Green Bay.

Football hosts annual spring game

The Stony Brook football team wrapped up a month's worth of practice with its annual Spring Game, held at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. In the offense (white) vs. defense (black) scrimmage, the offense came out on top with a 33-30 comeback victory after trailing at halftime 23-14.
