Kickoff
In search of the Big South's automatic bid to the FCS playoffs, Stony Brook travels to face Liberty on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Fans can listen to the game live on WUSB 90.1, with Mike Solano (pbp), Curt Hylton (color) and Jeff Bernstein (sidelines) providing all the action. Opponent
#18 Liberty (7-3, 4-1) lost to Coastal Carolina, 45-31, last Saturday. Mike Brown passed for 274 yards and two touchdowns, and Chris Summers caught seven balls for 127 yards and a touchdown. The Flames were down 38-17 at halftime, but only could get within 14 points. Brown is second in FCS in total offense, averaging 336.1 yards per game. Summers is fourth in receiving with 108.1 ypg. Kyle O'Donnell leads the defense with 69 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles. Danny Broggin has three interceptions and an 85-yard kick-off return.

Series
The series between Stony Brook and Liberty is tied at one. The Seawolves lost to the Flames, 33-0, in the first Big South game for Stony Brook in 2008. Last year, Stony Brook rallied to defeat Liberty, 36-33, to capture a share of the Big South Championship. It was the first win over a ranked opponent.
