Presbyterian Blue Hose (2-6) Kickoff: In search of its 150th victory in program history, the Stony Brook football team will travel to face Presbyterian on Saturday, October 27 at 1 p.m. Evan Lepler and Nate Ross will have the call on ESPN3.com and the WatchESPN app. Fans can hear Mike Solano and Curt Hylton broadcast all of the action on WUSB 90.1 FM and GoSeawolves.org.
Opponent: Presbyterian is led by sophomore Demarcus Rouse, who has nine of the team's 18 touchdowns. Senior Lance Byrd leads the Blue Hose with 527 rushing yards. Redshirt freshmen Tamyn Garrick and Kaleb Griffin have split time at quarterback this season. Garrick has passed for 775 yards and two touchdowns and Griffin has 532 yards and three scores. The pair has combined to throw nine interceptions. Sophomore Donelle Williams leads the Blue Hose with 82 tackles. Series: Stony Brook leads the all-time series, 3-0. The Seawolves patented ground game has taken a back seat against the Blue Hose as the quarterbacks have been the story. Last season, Kyle Essington passed for four TDs and ran for another in the 42-24 victory. Michael Coulter ‘11 threw for four TDs in 2010 and two in 2009. Stony Brook recorded a defensive touchdown in the 2009 and 2010 games. |
