Stony Brook, N.Y. - Saturday's final score was a great accomplishment and winning games is our No. 1 priority, but I don't think we played with the same intensity and passion it's going to take to be a successful football team.

Obviously we were able to create some turnovers and capitalize on them with our passing game.

As long as I've coached football, games like these are going to happen, but when we had a little lull, we still were talented enough to win a game convincingly.

We just need to continue to get better and have no setbacks.

Going to Coastal Carolina will be a huge task for many reasons. They may be the most talented team we've played all season, top to bottom. Their team speed, ability at the quarterback position, and the fact that they've played an incredibly tough schedule and have held up well is impressive.

Even though their record is 2-3, they've played really well. I can safely say they are a much better football team than 2-3.

Traveling down there and playing in what might be some humidity will be things we'll need to handle.

Football is a game of preparation, mentally and physically. In our team meetings this week, we've stressed the importance of our preparation to be at its maximum effort. Sometimes we think we're doing the right thing, but in reality we're not.

I think this team has done those things this week to prepared, and we're looking forward to Coastal with some excitement.

Get Your RED On, It's What WE Do!
