Kickoff: The Stony Brook football team will head upstate to take on Syracuse Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.  The game will be televised live on Time Warner Cable Sports, and picked up locally on SNY.  WUSB 90.1 FM will have the call, starting with the pre-game show at 3:45 p.m.  

The Opponent: Syracuse enters Saturday's game with an 0-2 record despite averaging 35.0 points per game. Senior quarterback Ryan Nassib has passed for 804 yards and six touchdowns, three to redshirt senior Marcus Sales.  Senior Ri'Shard Anderson leads the Orange with 13 tackles.


 

 

The Series: Stony Brook and Syracuse will meet for the first time.  The Seawolves are 0-3 against Football Bowl Subdivision schools, losing at South Florida, 52-14, at UTEP, 31-24 OT, and at Buffalo, 35-7.

Next Week's Game: Stony Brook will host Colgate on Saturday, September 22 at 6 p.m.  The game against the Raiders will be Wolfstock, the culmination of the University's annual week of Homecoming activities.
