2012 Record: 9-2, 7-1 NEC

Coach: Bob Ford, 41st season at UA

Returning Starters: 5/6 (offense); 6/5 (defense)

Series History: Albany leads 9-5

Last Meeting (2011): Stony Brook and Albany played in one of the greatest games at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium as the Seawolves rallied from an 18-point deficit to beat the Great Danes, 31-28. Brock Jackolski accounted for three touchdowns in the second half and Dominick Reyes intercepted a pass with 47 seconds left to lift Stony Brook into the second round of the Division I Football Championship.

Scouting the Offense: Junior quarterback Will Fiacchi will lead the offense in 2013 and will be throwing to his main target, junior Cole King.  Fiacchi passes for 2,156 yards and 11 touchdowns, including 573 yards and five touchdowns to King.  Senior Kevin Chillis also returns at wide receiver. Junior Omar Osbourne will start at tailback.  The O-Line returns three starters, including senior Kadeem Williams.

Scouting the Defense: Albany's defense led the NEC in rushing defense and finished second in scoring defense last season.  Senior defensive end Andrew Smith and junior nose guard Tim Kologrivov lead the charge.  Junior Kyle Jordan is the team's only returning starter at linebacker.  The secondary will rely on the senior leadership of Randall Exantus and Tramaine Wilson.
