Priore's weekly Big South football teleconference
Aug. 28, 2012 Charlotte, N.C. - Stony Brook head coach Chuck Priore conducted his first Big South football teleconference on Tuesday. Priore, who begins his seventh season at Stony Brook, talked about preseason camp, new personnel and Central Connecticut. On the preseason ... "Camp was low maintenance with no major injuries. Just your typical nicks and bruises." On the new personnel ... "We're real excited about our upperclassmen, but with Iowa transfer Marcus Coker and Maryland transfer Adrian Coxson, we've added a different level with those guys." On Central Connecticut ... "Central is a quality program. They feature an option attack with some real explosive players. They got a transfer at tailback (Rob Hollomon) and a big-play type of receiver (Deven Baker). They play a lot of man-to-man defense and will challenge the running game."
