Football garners APR award
June 21, 2012
Cleveland, Ohio - For achieving the highest APR in the Big South Conference for 2010-11, the Stony Brook football team earned an award from the Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA). The Seawolves will receive the award at the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) convention in Dallas next week. The NCAA member colleges and universities adopted an academic reform package designed to improve the academic success and graduation of all student-athletes. The package is the academic measurement for teams, known as the APR. The APR award recognizes one institution from each of the 14 FCS conferences.
