08/07/2012 Get to know CAA FootballFacts and figures on Stony Brook Football's new home in 2013. 08/07/2012 Stony Brook to join CAA Football in 2013A new era of Stony Brook Football in the premier FCS conference to begin in 2013. Inside Linebackers coach Bobby McIntyre is in his second season at Stony Brook. Jawara Dudley earned All-Big South first team honors after finishing second on the team with tackles. Reggie Francklin finished fourth on the team in tackles, and forms a formidable inside duo with Dudley. McIntyre officially joined the Stony Brook staff on May 2, 2011. A 30-year veteran of the coaching ranks, McIntyre will work with the linebackers. McIntyre returns to Long Island after coaching at Bryant last season. During his time with the Bulldogs, he worked with the team's inside linebackers. A member of the staff at Nassau Community College from 2008-09, McIntyre worked with the DBs. McIntyre coached at Hofstra University from 1989-2005. Eight players, who went on to sign NFL contracts, were tutored by McIntyre, who also served as a head coach at West Hempstead High School from 2006-07. A 1976 graduate of Salem College in West Virginia, McIntyre earned a master's degree in Health Education from Hofstra, graduating with distinction.
