Carlton Goff Position: Wide Receivers Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Experience: 7th Season at SBU Alma Mater: Illinois College '95

Carlton Goff is in his seventh season as the Seawolves' wide receivers coach.

The trio of Kevin Norrell, Jordan Gush and Matt Brevi accounted for 1,830 yards and 16 touchdowns. 350 of Norrell's 673 yards came in the final four games of the season.

Despite only catching 136 passes, the Seawolves' wide receivers still accounted for 17 touchdowns in 2010. Brevi, an all-Big South selection, and Gush each caught five TD passes.

Stony Brook's wide receivers totaled 16 touchdowns in 2009, including Gush's six which led the Big South. 11 different players caught at least one pass and six caught TD passes.

Goff's wide receivers accounted for over 1,300 yards and nine scores in 2008. During his time at Stony Brook he has coached two of the four players to reach 2,000 receiving yards in their careers, Dwayne Eley and Lynell Suggs.

In 2007 he coached Suggs to a school record for receptions and yardage as his receiving corps again hauled in 207 passes for over 2,400 yards. In his first season with the Seawolves, Goff's crew hauled in 200 passes for 2,489 yards and 17 touchdowns. Goff helped the Stony Brook offense rank first in the NEC in its passing attack and spread the wealth as 11 different Seawolves tallied receptions on the year.

Prior to Stony Brook, Goff spent three seasons as running backs coach at Hofstra. Before Goff joined the Hofstra staff, he served as a tight ends assistant coach at East Carolina University from 2001-02. While with the Pirates he also assisted with the special teams and scout teams in addition to his tight end duties.

Goff began his college coaching career in 1995 as running backs coach at North Park University in Chicago. He served in that capacity until 2000 when he was promoted to Offensive Coordinator. During that time, he also served the college as assistant director of admissions, a position he held for five years. His role in admissions included minority recruitment and counselor coordinator before briefly serving as interim director of admissions.

A three-year starter at Illinois College at running back, Goff finished his career as the school's No. 7 all-time rusher. A two-time All-Midwest Athletic Conference selection, Goff is active on the camp and clinic circuit, lecturing and instructing at several camps in the Midwest since 1998. He graduated in 1995 from Illinois College with a bachelor's degree in political science and holds a master's degree in teaching from East Carolina.
