Cohen will enter his first season with the Seawolves in the Fall of 2000 after assuming the position last spring.
For the past five years, Cohen was a member of the coaching staff at Bucknell University, serving three years as defensive line coach and two years as outside linebackers coach. He was part of a staff that coached the top-rated defense in the Patriot League for four straight seasons and led the Patriot League in sacks with a school record 47 in 1999. During his tenure, he coached five All-Conference linemen, one of which earned All-America and Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year honors. Cohen was also responsible for opponent film breakdowns and preparation of team scouting reports.
A 1993 graduate of Marist College, Cohen returns to the university where his coaching career started. He was a graduate assistant at Stony Brook for two seasons from 1993-94, working primarily with the defensive lineman. Cohen earned a masterís degree in Liberal Studies from Stony Brook in 1994.
