26 Stony Brook student-athletes receive Undergraduate Recognition Awards

Awards celebrate outstanding student achievement.

2011: Started all 13 games at right tackle ... blocked for a scoring offense that ranked second in FCS (38.0 ppg), arushing attack that ranked fourth (267.31) and a total offense that ranked eighth (441.62) ... preseason All-Big South by Phil Steele's College Football Review.

2010: Played in all 11 games, starting 10 at right tackle ... Seawolves' Offensive Rookie of the Year ... blocked for a rushing attack that ranked ninth in FCS with 218 yards per game.

2009: Redshirted.

Prior to Stony Brook: Attended the University of Pittsburgh for a year but did not play football.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Pocono Mountain West High School in Pennsylvania ... earned one letter as a lineman for the Panthers ... honorable mention all-conference ... team captain as a senior ... 22 tackles as a senior ... helped lead his team to an 8-2 record and a top-50 ranking in the state ... also lettered in track.
