Men's and Women's Basketball Student-Athletes Visit Long Island State Veterans Home

Stony Brook University's basketball teams took some time off the court on Friday afternoon to visit the Long Island State Veterans Home to celebrate the opening of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. The student-athletes along with assistant men's basketball coach Dan Rickard and women's head coach Michele Cherry conducted a short dribbling and passing demonstration before meeting with the over 50 veterans who attended the event. 06/11/2008 Men's Basketball Adds Two Student-Athletes In Spring Signing Period Stony Brook University men's basketball head coach Steve Pikiell has announced that two additional student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Seawolves, beginning in the fall of 2008. Forward Danny Carter (London, England/Reading Rockets) and swingman Tommy Brenton (Columbia, Md./Hargrave Military Academy) join the Seawolves' 2008-09 recruiting class which already includes guards Bryan Dougher and Jonathan Moore and forward Dallis Joyner.
