Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men’s basketball team will host its Eighth Annual Men’s Basketball Fun Run on Sunday, September 30. Race time will be 10 a.m., and all runners are asked to check in by 9:30 a.m. at Gate 2 of LaValle Stadium. The 3.5 mile race around campus is free and T-shirts will be given to the first 100 participants.

Last year, Stony Brook student Dalton Roe won the race with a time of 19:30. Men's basketball guard Ben Resner finished second at 19:52, and assistant coach Lamar Chapman placed third with a time of 22:26.

The run serves as the final preseason conditioning activity for the Seawolves before official practice for the 2012-13 season begins on Friday, October 12. For those who are interested in participating in this year’s Fun Run, please e-mail Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Dan Rickard at Daniel.Rickard@stonybrook.edu.
